First off, Futa design has evolved over the years, originally it was just the penis and vagina, then it was penis + balls + vagina and in recent times it's just been penis and balls but that doesn't make them trans for multiple reasons.

As for your LA Chapelle example, that's a real world concept born with people who are still by definition male/men, that's not the case for futa since futa by definition are female and there's multiple variables on how they could have become one, whether they have a vagina of not.
