Because this is fantasy - why not consider the development of a new wonder drug that allows a human female to become impregnated by any warm-blooded, live birth animal? As long as they use animals that are small enough that it would not seriously damage the woman, or the offspring. They could start small with canine, feline, or porcine. Then gradually try larger animals, using Cesarean section to remove the baby safely.
Just something different to consider.
