- having a varying approach rate for the notes decreases readability, just having them move at a constant speed would be nicer
- same is true for the fade in effect - just having them appear on the right side of the screen would make me spend less time looking at the beatbar and more time looking at the action
- hitsounds would be great but it's obviously more work
