I think dark skin characters are very under represented so I'm doing my part to showcase the beauty in the girls I create for my videos.

You didn't overdo it. Black people come in different hues from very dark brown, to coffee, to caramel, to bronze, to tan, to almost white in complexion. Dorothy Dandridge was a well-known black actress back in the day and she was nowhere Near being dark. Same for Lena Horne.
