He was forced to live as a girl not to be deemed as an omen of misfortune. His birthplace has a belief that a twin-born male brings nothing but misfortunes. In times, he slowly gets used to that way and actually starts to like the way he lives, then the conflict hits, then he decides that he'll just be himself, just the way he always lives.

But global localization just never accepts anything vague or inconclusive, especially certain loud minority, so ArcSys was forced to apply that Bridget decide to come out as a trans-identified woman/girl to shut down the 'problematic' dispute.

@ArcherDominion, Arc officially retconned bridget. She's trans-female now. Throwing away ~25 years of history was deemed necessary to not be problematic.
