The main appeal of a Yamamoto Doujin is that his art style often mirrors the manga the depicted characters were from. And that appeal was lost with the rendered models. Nami looked alright. Arlong, Hachi, and Chu were passable. But the background fishmen looked God awful. Especially the bright neon colored ones.
I hoped when this started that by switching medium from a comic to an animation that the sex scenes would at least be expanded. But they were instead comedically short much like in the comic. That's one thing in a fast-paced doujin where a scene is condensed into a single page of panels... but in an animation I was hoping for looped or extended movement or at least some extra poses. Instead the comically low endurance fishmen came across looking like pathetic four pump chumps.
The lack of 'story' and sloppy translations are usually the weakest aspect of a Yamamoto Doujins since I'm pretty sure he only has a passing knowledge of a series and the characters when he draws a comic for them. And those weak aspects were copied basically word-for-word. Shoddy translations and all. Was it too much to ask to fix the dialogue?
If I had to summarize this video in one word it would be: clunky.
