From the original plan of 24 mins., it has now ballooned to a grand total of 38 mins of runtime!.. close nuff ig XD I initially planned on just rendering all of it as is, once I finished the ending scene, but after rewatching the older scenes, I decided to give those a bit of polish as well by editing and retiming them to quicken those slow as molasses movements, into quick and snappy ones :3And it also had the nice benefit of trimming a minute of total runtime lol... It did cost me an extra week of polishing, but I was gonna have to do it in the future anyways so imma just look at it as helping out my future me :3 Also!.. VFX!.. Had a ton of fun working on those flashy doodads. I never attempted anything of that scale before so watching it all come together piece by piece was very satisfying. Makes all the time I had to spend watching tutorials after tutorials worth it :3 And last but not least!.. I've decided that after finishing this project, I will be taking a Hiatus! Ahh the infamous H word... It comes for us all XD Jokes aside, I've been thinking of taking a break for about a couple years now to focus on other things that requires a lot of my time. And virtually all of my time these past four years have basically been optimized btp to grinding my animation skills and making the best smuts I could pump out. And tho it has defo paid off (thanks to you Chads :3), it also meant that... I basically haven't done much else other than grind XD Don't get me wrong tho! I don't regret these past few years in the slightest. It has given me an opportunity to pursue my dream of being an animator, and has given me financial comfort in an environment where economic uncertainty is the norm. That said, much like Xiangling to Hu Tao's pranks, doing the same thing over and over? It'll eventually get stale XD I previously thought I could at least do Part 2 and possibly even an Epilogue for the Liyue chapter before I needed a break, but as the scale of Part 1 alone grew larger and larger. It became apparent that if I continued straight to Part 2, I'll prolly end up burning out :/And after working on that VFX, it really solidified to me that the feeling of procrastination that I was getting from doing my usual stuff was simply my brain wanting something new! Coz boi, while I was working on that VFX, I be holdin' my pee just so that I can keep working on it lmao. Still, I'm glad to know that the passion for animation itself is still burning bright in me. I just need keep feeding it new and exciting things!As Xiangling once said: Variety is the spice of life! (Source: trust me bro) And so, I decided that I will take a break and use that time to:- Read animation books and Take online courses (I prolly lack a lot of fundamentals since all my skills came from trial and error and YT University lmao)- Migrate to newer Blender versions (I'm still using 3.6.1 the 2023 version XD)- Upgrade my Rig and Models (Gen 3 models babbyyy!)- Watch and Read Lots of Media for New Inspirations (I havent watched a single anime in 2 years... except castlevania. I had to watch that one XD)- Work on shorter SFW animations (Hard to believe ik, but my brain can act produce things that don't involve butts and bewbies :p)- Workout (I'm starting to get flabby T-T)- Learn to Cook (I can cook in more ways than one :3) and possibly even-- T-... T-Tou-... Touch Grass?!!! And yeah! That's pretty much it!.. But now that I've done quite a few of them, built a functional workflow for it, and have gotten pretty decent at animating them! I've gotten to the point that... I actually don't mind doing them now! I used to just half-ass it with as little flaps I can get away with whilst vaguely matching the dialogue (like in-game), but seeing Xiangling mouth the words out accurately do hit different ngl XD... Which makes the bit of extra work worth it :3 On another topic!.. Whenever I'm mixing all the diff sounds, I've always worried about the experience of the viewer and how my mixing comes out through diff devices. Coz I noticed that sometimes, what sounds good on my studio headphone (DT770 Pro) may not come out as good on my cheaper 30$ headphone and vice versa. Add earphones, and phone speakers to the mix and finding the optimal mix that works on all of them becomes a pretty daunting task. So I would love to know what device you watch this WiP on! As well as your feedback of it :3 I've mainly focused on the headphone experience with my works but who knows! Maybe most of you Chads just watch my stuff through your phone inside the bathroom XD And lastly! I forgor to add the Boo sightings for 9c (╥ ᴗ ╥) Ig that time crunch also crunched my smooth brain XD... But it shouldn't take too long to add! Also glad that I separated the ending scene, otherwise this big boi woulda been impossible to polish within a reasonable time frame XD. Still, I woulda liked an extra day or two to polish the lighting more and do some additional color correction work. Buuut I'll have another crack at it once its time to do the audio for it anyways so no biggy :p On another note, I lowered the opacity of the dialogue box a bit (especially around the edges) to make the animation beneath a bit more visible. I've been noticing that the in game dialogue box has been doing this more and more recently, so I just followed suit XD I also made some modification to Lumine and Sucrose's bewb rigs to make them look softer and jigglier. Lemme know if you like it or if you'd want me to tune it down :3 Also, since they've been at it for presumably hours btp. I added "sweat maps" on XL and HT's bodies (especially on their bellies and boobies) to simulate sweat. This also had the nice benefit of showing off their figure better. Like HT's midriff! (she's lowkey ripped lmao) And last but defo not least... SucMine art! ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡ A while back, I stumbled upon Nia! An artist on twitter that does a LOT of adorable Sucrose art. And since I've always wanted to try commissioning art before (but couldn't cuz I was broke XD), and there's a significant lack of Sucrose x Lumine art out there in the wild. I thought I'd give it a try and share it to you guys! I didn't give any specific direction to her, only that its a wholesome SucMine ship. So it was pretty exciting to see what she comes up with! Buuuttt as I was rewatching my previous work... I got a lil competitive XD Not sure why, but I had an urge to just mog my past self so I kept one upping the original scene and adding more and more positions, transitions, fluid sims... until it ended becoming this 2 minute long vid of uninterrupted spice XD So yeah... Looks like imma just have to put the ending off for a bit longer :/ I'll just put it in a separate WiP 10 once Im done polishing this into 9c. Then I can do a compilation of the entire PGW Part 1 as like a quick look of all the progress done so far :3And if I were to guess, it'll prolly be just shy of 40 mins long btp. Funny how past me thought this anim would be done by 24-30 mins of runtime TOPS!
