But aside from the wars, the reason for the disagreements was the birth of what, I believe I am not mistaken, is considered to be the first human deity to date, namely Elya. The goddess Elya. Half human, half angel. But not quite. Her father was an elf, though angels could never discern the difference. In their eyes, the distinction between humans and elves was unclear, especially when the elves were young, their long ears not yet developed. Thus, Elya came to be the first goddess half divine. While returning to An’alir from my journey, I met a strange woman. I say strange because she wasn’t like us, she had the look of an angel, but from what I know there were no angels in Marsk’ka. And to tell the truth, she didn’t resemble the angels I had imagined. I had heard Elya mention that beyond the deserts of Marsk'ka, immortal angels rule. They have large white wings that stretch far beyond their arms, have a youthful appearance, and are tall, slender begins. This woman, however, had a single dirty, almost black wing, seemed anything but immortal. In fact she seemed quite old, and had scars on her face, as if she had been tortured. Her gaze was more like that of a warrior, and she looked strangely familiar. Anyway, the only non-human I saw were Elya and Reina, who occasionally comes to visit us in An'alir and talk with Elya. They talk, more or less, though from their room, I hear more moans than words. Anyway! Back to the woman, she said her name was Fiora, and when I told her I was a handmaiden of An’alir, in service to the goddess Elya, she looked at me with disgust. “I know her well!” she said. “That whore.” I’m not sure why she referred to Elya like that, but I thought it was quite rude. But despite my dismay, this was the first time I’d encountered someone from beyond the border who wasn’t Elya, and since she seemed to know about her past, I couldn’t resist asking for more. “Elya is the worst whore of all,” Fiora said, “when she was in Vilvir, she’d let three men ride her at once, and then she would come crying to us, saying they’d mistreated her.” She spoke with disgust. “The truth is, Elya enjoys being treated badly, someitmes subjugated by men, and the title of deity is nothing more than a slur attached to her name. I’m surprised she still calls herself that.” I couldn’t really argue with that. “You know? Yes? that she’s been mounted by horses, dogs, pigs, she’s fucked anything that breathes. Once, I heard, she turned the waters of a river into a creature and fucked that too. Elya is truly a slut.” I was about to say more, but Fiora cut me off with a snort. "Elya was meant to be the deity who dominated over humans, but she was never supposed to become corrupted like humanity. That's why," Fiora said, "they exiled her to Marsk'ka. Because that's where she belongs, with the beasts and devils of the desert, where death and desolation reign, and where the monstrosities of the world swarm, including you humans.” And what seemed to me like an out-of-this-world hatred that Fiora harbored toward Elya, actually turned out to be the greatest love of all. At first I hadn’t thought of it! I assumed Fiora’s words were fueled by hate, but the truth became clearer when she visited An’alir for the first time, seeking the one she called her daughter, Elya. I understood that she wasn’t hateful, but simply harsh with Elya, and above all, being a deity, she didn’t have the same conception of hate as us, or so I thought. In fact, I was surprised because Elya and Fiora seemed to be on good terms. They spoke as if they hadn’t seen each other for several years, or given that they were deities, centuries. Yet between Elya and Fiora, it was clear that there was a significant generation gap. Fiora seemed like an old-fashioned deity, upright, with her sense of honor and narrow views, her head held high as if she knew exactly where she stood. Elya, on the other hand, seemed to have assimilated human culture and ways of life with ease. It was only then that I realized how truly corrupted Elya had become by humanity. While she had descended from the gods beyond the border, it was clear that she had spent her entire life among humans, knowing little about the world and the ways of the gods. When Fiora spoke, she raised the palms of her hands and offered them to Elya, in a gesture that seemed entirely foreign to us humans, almost as if she were trying to communicate her appreciation with it. Furthermore, Fiora rarely gestured as she spoke, and in fact seemed to keep her arms and legs still while her lips moved. It was this moment that made me realize Elya's past was less divine than I had thought. But I think that's another story… ‼️‼️‼️ Your suggestions are super appreciated!!!
